Scholarship Information

The TCAAUW Minnie Votruba Moore Scholarship was established in 1975 with a gift from Minnie Votruba Moore. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and assist area women who are seeking to enrich their educational credentials and enhance their personal and/or career opportunities.

  1. Women who are enrolled or are enrolling in full time or part time accredited programs and who reside in the Grand Traverse Region

    · Women who are able to delineate a thoughtful and realistic plan for achieving their goals. Course work should be directly related to professional or employment goals.

    · Individuals who have a demonstrated commitment to their community.

  2. Individuals who have been recipients of a TCAAUW Minnie Votruba Moore Scholarship in the past may reapply in succeeding years. Such applications will receive equal consideration with all other applications.

  3. The committee reserves the right to verify information in the application. A personal interview may be arranged.

  4. All applications will be treated confidentially and only award winning applications will be retained. Applicants will be notified up the decision of the Special Scholarship Committee.

  5. The scholarship award will be presented directly to the selected individual. The award will be announced at the May meeting of the Traverse City Branch of AAUW and will be publicized in the local media..
