State Theatre Volunteer Group
State Theatre AAUW Vounteers 3rd Saturdays, year round, 12-3. Jobs
are ushering (includes taking tickets, running the vacuum and carpet sweeper,
checking the bathroom), concessions (usually assigned to popcorn OR drinks
OR cash register), and box office (using the easy-to-learn computer/cash register,
answering the phone).The "what's
in it for me" is that AAUW
gets a mention in the list of volunteer groups; signage at the theatre that
day, wears "Ask Me About AAUW" pins and it is lots of fun......the
patrons are happy to have such an attractive theatre and are grateful to

International Affairs Forum
Attend Forum at Milliken Auditorium monthly starting again in September. Reception at 5:15; lecture at 6 pm. Forums are sponsored by the International Affairs Forum and NMC. Cost: $10 in advance and at the door. Topics explore hot spots around the world and relevant issues of global concern. Each month features notable speakers—former ambassadors, government advisors, and think-tank people—who discuss topics in their fields of expertise.
